Biscoe School Administration of floating the guidelines of Directorate of School Education, Biscoe school students Saturday while staging a protest in Press Enclave Srinagar alleged that school authorities are forcing them to appear in Pre-Board examination on November 7. They alleged that school authorities are conducting the examination in November after getting nod from Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Reports said that scores of class 10th students appeared in Press Enclave Srinagar and amid anti-Biscoe school authorities slogans alleged that in order to appease a particular section of political class, Biscoe school authorities have issued a date sheet asking students to appear in pre-board examination starting from November 7. “How come it is possible for us to appear in the examination at a time when we have lost all the books and other study material during devastating floods,” they questioned and alleged it was only after getting nod from Chief Minister of the State that School Principal is forcing us to appear in the examination.
They lamented that Director School Education is acting as a mute spectator and is not initiating any action against the Biscoe school authorities who have been floating its guidelines. “Directorate of School Education categorically through its order has maintained that all the examinations will be conducted in March. If it is so then why we are being mentally tortured,” students said.
Principal Biscoe School Parvez Koul told CNS that they are not floating the norms prescribed by Directorate of School Education. He said that majority of the students are in favour of conducting examination. He however added that school authorities will do whatever students will ask them to do.
