SRINAGAR

All of a sudden, activities in PDP and BJP camps sped up after the coordination committee of the coalition government here under the chairmanship of Dr Nirmal Singh.

Sources said that as the CC meet ended around 8 pm this evening most of the ministers were seen visiting CM Mufti Muhammad Sayeed’s Fair View residence at Gupkar.

They added that almost all the right wing Hindu nationalist BJP ministers are meeting somewhere in city this time around.

MPs Muzaffar Hussain Baigh and Tariq Hamid Karra did not attend the meet. Sources said that Baigh was “not keeping well” while Karra said, “I am busy in New Delhi”.

However, sources could not confirm the issue behind such “intense deliberations and meetings” which suddenly took place post PDP-BJP coordination committee meet.

Pertinent to mention here, PDP-BJP coordination committee meet was scheduled to take place on Monday but owing to “busy schedule” of PDP ministers, the meeting could not materialize. It was on Monday that CM Mufti Muhammad Sayeed with most of PDP ministers in attendance inaugurated much awaited Sopore Bypass Bridge. It was in presence of MP North Kashmir, Muzaffar Hussain Baigh, that the BEACON constructed bridge was thrown open.

On the other hand, the state government cabinet shall be meeting on Wednesday after a break of around three months.
