National Conference Working President and former CM Omar Abdullah, while condemning the killing of a Numberdaar in Pulwama questioned the PDP-BJP Government’s political will and seriousness to ensure the safety of civilians in the State.

During a visit to Beerwah Constituency Thursday, Omar Abdullah condemned the killing of 43 year-old Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, Nambardar of Village Vagum in Pulwama and expressed his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family, a party statement said.

The NC Working President questioned the PDP-BJP Government’s political will and seriousness in ensuring the safety of civilians in the State and said the Government’s callousness over such tragic incidents was unfortunate.

Omar Abdullah also visited the residence of District Secretary of Youth National Conference, Mohammad Ashraf to condole the demise of his sister.

The NC Working President and MLA Beerwah also interacted with numerous public delegations in Beerwah and sought feedback over various works in the constituency and was apprised of public issues. The NC Working President informed the visiting delegations that he strongly advocated the timely redressal of all public grievances in the constituency in the recently held District Development Board Meeting for Budgam District and that the Government has assured him that it would look into all these issues in a timely manner, the statement said.
