After two months suspense over the formation of new government Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and BJP have finally reached to an agreement and the new government is likely to take an oath on either February 27 or 28, local newsgatherer KNS reported.

Quoting highly placed sources it said PDP president and MP Mehbooba Mufti alongwith another senior leader and MP Muzaffar Hussain Beig are scheduled to meet BJP national president Amit Shah in New Delhi on Monday after which formal announcement about the government formation is likely to be made.

A senior PDP leader who is part of negotiations with BJP confirmed the development. “Mehooba ji and Beigh sahib will finalise the deal with Amit Shah on Monday. During the meeting it will also be decided whether Mufti sahib and Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) need to meet before the oath ceremony. The draft of the common minimum programme (CMP) has already been accepted by both the parties,” he said and added oath ceremony will be held either on February 27 or 28.

The leader confirmed that the two parties have sorted out differences on some key issues on which they had varied ideologies and stands.

He also dismissed the news reports regarding cabinet composition. “It (cabinet) will be full of surprises.
