Reports from district Shopian said that NC workers allegedly attacked the cavalcade of PDP winning candidate’s cavalcade resulting in injuries to many PDP workers.
Reports said that PDP winning candidate from Wacchi Aijaz Ahmad Mir was on way to his native area and as soon as his cavalcade reached Chittragam village the supporters of NC candidate allegedly hurled stones on the cavalcade.
Local sources said that many PDP members were injured by stones. However, Mir escaped unhurt.
Some of the injured have been identified as Sajid Ahmad Reshi, M Latif Nengroo, Rayees Ahmad Naiko and Asif Abdullah.
