A delegation of PDP leaders, who were on its way to Gool to meet with the bereaved families of Ramban, was stopped by the police at Chanderkote and not allowed to proceed further. The delegation comprised general secretary of the party Thakur Balbir Singh, Mehboob Iqbal Malik, Fallail Singh, Hussain Ali Bafa and Abdul Rashid Malik.

As per a statement PDP delegation, on the directions of the party leadership, left for Gool this morning to express their condolences to the bereaved families. When delegation reached Chanderkote, PDP leaders were stopped by the police and disallowed them to proceed further.

Talking to the reporters at Chanderkote, PDP general secretary Thakur Balbir Singh said that they were on their way to meet with the bereaved families but authorities stopped them without any reason. “If leaders of ruling National Conference and Congress are allowed to reach Gool, why there is ban on PDP leaders”, he asked and alleged that coalition government was trying to create trouble in the state.

Meanwhile on the directions of PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, senior party leaders Choudhary Zulfikar, MLA Darhal and Daman Bhasin today visited government Medical College Hospital Jammu and inquired about the conditions of those who were injured in firing. While interacting
