Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called for resignation of Mos home, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo after the court orders for registration of an FIR against him. In a statement a spokesman of the party said the instruction of the court make it obvious that a prima fascia case of misconduct is established against Kichloo.

The spokesman said normally the Chief Minister should have dropped the MoS immediately after the incident had taken place at Kishtwar. But it is now established fact that “a morally weakened” Omar Abdullah who faces more serious accusation against himself and the NC patriarch Dr Farooq Abdullah is in no position to enforce accountability in his cabinet.

“The minister should immediately resign to make fair investigation case by the police possible,” the spokesman said. He added, “Till Kichloo holds the home portfolio it is obvious that the purpose of the investigation that court has ordered could not be fulfilled.”

Pertinently, MoS home had slapped a government officer in Kishtwar some time back when chief minister was on a visit to the area.
