Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Thursday late evening expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of its patron, and Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who breathed his last at AIIMS this morning.
A condolence meeting of PDP was held this morning at party office in Jammu to condole the sad and untimely demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, a PDP statement said.
Party leaders while paying tributes to Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said that the State has lost a visionary leader who remained committed and devoted towards welfare of the state throughout his long political career.
A special prayer was also offered to pay homage to the departed soul. All leaders expressed their deep sorrow and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family. A two minute silence was also observed in the meeting.
