Dr Kamal Saini, former Inspector General of Police (IGP), has joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A party statement quoted Dr Saini saying that he joined PDP due to the its policies and programmes. He especially mentioned that Mufti Sayeed, during his tenure as Chief Minister of the state, had delivered good governance. That was why, he said, it was need of the hour to strengthen hands of Mufti Sayeed and Ms Mufti.
Already, retired IGP Raja Aijaz Ali joined the party and within days he was graced with the mandate for Uri assembly seat in north Kashmir.
