Incumbent Chadoora lawmaker Javaid Mustafa Mir Saturday said that the demand for plebiscite is a valid demand and such comments inside the house cannot be expunged.
MLA Udhampur, Pawan Gupta earlier asked the chair that Er Rasheed’s “plebiscite” demand in unconstitutional, PDP MLA Javaid Mustafa Mir said that no one can stop anyone from raising this demand.
If demanding plebiscite is unconstitutional, it was India’s then Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru, who demanded the same,” Javaid said.
“Even I said it number of times during Omar Abdullah’s time in the house,” he said.
He later walked out from the house, after a verbal brawl with Udhampur MLA.
