SRINAGAR: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) MLA Muhammad Rafiq Naik on Friday urged a review of the current reservation policy.
Speaking during the Motion of Thanks on the Lieutenant Governor’s address in the Legislative Assembly, PDP’s Tral MLA called for a reassessment of the existing reservation policy, stating that it disadvantages the general category.

“Please review the reservation policy. Where will the general category go?” he asked.
He further said that Kashmiris should not be labelled as separatists, terrorists, or Pakistanis. “You can call us names, but don’t label us as Algawadi (separatists), Attanwakdi (terrorists), or Pakistanis,” he said.
