Abid Hussain Ansari, who is contesting from Zadibal assembly segment in Srinagar district on the ticket of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), is the owner of movable and immovable assets worth Rs more than 24 crore.

Ansari, the younger brother of late Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, a business tycoon of Kashmir, has declared his assets in an affidavit filed to the Election Commission of India while filing his nomination papers.

Ansari, according to his affidavit, owns a movable property worth Rs 1, 40, 59, 340 which includes Jewellery worth Rs five lakh and cash in hand Rs 50,000.

Ansari also owns an immovable property worth Rs 23 crore which includes residential buildings at Rampore and Qamaerwari, Commercial building at Channa Rama Jammu and two orchards at Qamarwai and Dewar on 30 and 100 kanals of land respectively.
