SRINAGAR: A pedestrian was killed in a road accident at Gogjibagh area of Srinagar on Sunday.
Quoting official sources news agency KNO reported that a 50-year-old pedestrian identified as Ghulam Ahmad Matta resident of Batamaloo was hit by a load carrier in Gogjibagh this afternoon.
In the incident, the pedestrian was critically injured and was rushed to SMHS Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries this evening.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and a case under section 279, 337 has been registered.
