PM Modi Hails Armed Forces for Operation Sindoor’s Resounding Success

ADAMPUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid a stirring tribute to the courage and precision of India’s armed forces during a visit to the Air Force Station at Adampur, where he addressed air warriors and soldiers who played a pivotal role in the recent Operation Sindoor. In an address rich in patriotic fervour and strategic messaging, Modi declared that the operation had sent a powerful message to both the nation and the world — that India will not only defend itself but will decisively crush those who dare to threaten it, according to a statement issued by the PIB.

Calling the slogan Bharat Mata Ki Jai ’ the heartbeat of the nation, Modi said it was not merely a chant but a solemn pledge that reverberates on every battlefield and mission. “When our forces raise this cry, it sends shivers down the enemy’s spine,” he said, adding that whether through drones or missiles, India’s military capabilities had now become synonymous with national pride and unwavering resolve.

The Prime Minister underlined that Operation Sindoor was a direct response to attempts at terrorism and nuclear blackmail, and represented the convergence of India’s policy clarity, intent, and operational strength. “India is the land of Buddha and Guru Gobind Singh Ji,” Modi said, invoking historical figures of peace and valour. “When injustice raises its head, India does not stay silent — it strikes with moral conviction and military precision.”

Detailing the operation’s impact, Modi revealed that nine terrorist hideouts were destroyed and over 100 militants eliminated, all deep within Pakistani territory. These actions, he said, dismantled terror infrastructure and delivered a message Pakistan could no longer ignore: “There is no safe haven left for terrorism.”

Lauding the armed forces for their pinpoint strikes, the Prime Minister noted that Indian drones and missiles not only achieved their objectives but did so despite Pakistan’s attempts to use civilian aircraft as cover. He called the military campaign “unprecedented, unimaginable, and remarkable”, and hailed the seamless coordination among the Army, Navy, Air Force, and BSF as a model of modern joint warfare.

“In just 20–25 minutes, our forces accomplished what would have taken others days,” he said, stressing that the adversary was left stunned, with major strongholds reduced to rubble before they could react. “This is the new normal. Any terror strike on India will meet with a response of our choosing, at a time and place of our choosing.”

Emphasising the technological edge that now powers India’s defence strategy, Modi said that platforms like the S-400 missile system and indigenous solutions like Akash have created a robust shield around the nation. He credited the success of Operation Sindoor to a blend of cutting-edge technology and the indomitable spirit of India’s forces. “Our warriors have mastered not just weapons but also data and drones,” he said.

The Prime Minister also praised the Indian Navy’s dominance over the seas, the Army’s reinforcement of borders, and the Air Force’s role in both attack and defence, while applauding the BSF and other security forces for their integral support. “This synergy is now a defining strength of India’s defence posture,” he added.

Modi warned Pakistan that India’s restraint should not be mistaken for weakness. “The action has paused only in response to their appeal. But if provoked again, India’s reply will be overwhelming,” he said. “We want peace, but will never hesitate to crush threats to humanity.”

In his concluding remarks, the Prime Minister thanked every soldier and their families for their sacrifices, urging them to maintain their spirit of service. “This is a new India,” he declared. “One that speaks in the language of peace, but responds in the strength of steel.”

Operation Sindoor, he said, has not only safeguarded India’s borders but has also “elevated the country’s pride to new heights” — ensuring that every citizen today walks taller, knowing the nation is in safe hands.
