Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Katra Tuesday morning. A special plane carrying the prime minister landed at the technical area of Jammu airport around 9:00 am.
PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate Super Specialty Hospital at Kakryal constructed by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana and Sports Complex, Katra.
Amid massive security blanket, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) declared that pilgrimage will continue uninterrupted today. But the helicopter service has been suspended.
State Governor N N Vohra, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and other senior officials of Union and state governments received Modi at the airport.
Modi flew in army’s MI-17 helicopter to Katra town where a busy day-long schedule awaits him.
