SRINAGAR: Union Home Minister Amit Shah attributed the end of militancy in Kashmir to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasising his role in securing the nation.

Rallying for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s re-election for an unprecedented third term, Shah highlighted Modi’s decision to revoke Article 370, thereby integrating Kashmir into India.

Speaking at an election rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar on Wednesday, Shah said, “Kashmir is an integral part of our nation. In his second term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi abolished Article 370, merging Kashmir with India. He successfully curtailed terrorism in the region, ensuring the nation’s security and prosperity.”

He added, “Modi ji spearheaded counter-terrorism operations, including surgical and air strikes, which led to the elimination of terrorists, even crossing into Pakistan when necessary.”
