SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 8 pm today. This will be his first address since the launch of Operation Sindoor, which was carried out in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The address comes two days after India and Pakistan reached an understanding to halt all military actions across land, air, and sea with immediate effect, following a sharp spike in hostilities.
Operation Sindoor was launched by India on the night of May 6–7 after the Pahalgam attack, in which 26 people were killed. Indian forces targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, and over 100 terrorists were reportedly killed in the operation.
