SRINAGAR: The PM Scholarship Scheme (PMSS under the administration of the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) further endorsed by the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DESW) within the Ministry of Defense for the academic year 2023-24 is accessible to individuals now.
The PM Scholarship for 2023-24 is exclusively available to students who are either dependents or widows of ex-servicemen or former Coast Guard personnel.
The application process is completely online and is to be filled on the Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat Portal. The last date to apply for the scholarship is November 30, 2023.
The amount of the Scholarship under this Scheme for girls is Rs 3000 and for boys Rs 2500 per month. The total of 5500 scholarships available are available.
The eligibility criteria for the application process include attainment of a minimum score of 60% in the 12th-grade, diploma, or graduation examinations. Eligibility is limited to students currently enrolled in the initial year of technical or professional courses.
Enrollment must be in a full-time program offered by an institution or college officially recognized by AICTE/UGC.
Eligibility extends to students who are either dependents of ESM (Ex-Servicemen) or former Coast Guard personnel or the children of deceased individuals.
With the exception of lateral entry and integrated courses, students in their second year are ineligible.
Students pursuing education abroad do not qualify for the Scholarship.
The necessary documents required for the Scholarship include a passport-sized photograph, Aadhar Card, Matriculation Certificate (as proof of your Date of Birth), Mark sheet of your 12th, Diploma, or Graduation, a Bonafide Certificate, Proof of an Aadhar-seeded bank account, ESM/Ex-Coast Guard Personal Certificate duly attested by ZSB (Zila Sainik Board), The front page of bank passbook, Part II Order (POR), Pension Payment Order (PPO), or ESM Identity Card, an Affidavit or Self Certificate of ESM (Ex-Servicemen)
