Talking to a news channel, the police chief said that an FIR has also been lodged in case of video which showed a trooper shooting directly in the head of a stone-pelting protester outside a polling station in same area.

“A case has been registered in connection with that incident also. It is a matter of investigation and action will be taken against whoever is found guilty,” the DGP added.

He also hailed CRPF personnel for showing restraint while attacked by a group of youth. “I congratulate CRPF men for exercising maximum restratint while they were attacked by ruffians. It would have been a tragedy, had they been retaliated,” he said.
