SRINAGAR: A 19-year-old resident of Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was apprehended in the Karnah sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district after allegedly crossing to this side of the Line of Control (LoC).
Official sources said that the individual, identified as Assad Khan, son of Janzib Khan and a resident of Muzaffarabad, PoK, was apprehended in the Seemari area of Karnah.
According to sources, local residents spotted the youth in the area and detained him before handing him over to the authorities.
He is currently in custody and is being questioned. Necessary legal formalities are being completed, while further investigation into the matter is underway, the sources added. (JKNS)
