In an endeavour to bring smile on their faces, Police on Monday arranged an outing in Zabarwan Park here for at-least five hundred orphans in Kashmir Valley.

A police official here told KNS that children from various orphanages around Srinagar were taken to Zarbarwan Park, situated on the foothills of Zabarwan mountain range, where police officers including Director General of Police Ahok Prasad, Inspector General of Police (Kashmir Range) Abdul Gani Mir besides other officers arranged many games including Mickey mouse, Bungee jumping and others for them

The orphans also had first sight of the beautiful Dal Lake as many of them enjoyed a Shikara ride in the world famous Lake.

The police also arranged a special Iftaar party where almost all dishes were kept available for the orphans. Apart from police officers, their families also enjoyed with the children.

Besides snacks and chocolates, the police officers also provided gifts mainly a dress suit to the children comprising both boys and girls.

Inspector General of Police (Kashmir Range), Abdul Gani Mir told KNS that the outing programme was only aimed to bring smile on the faces of the children.

“We wanted to bring the smile on the faces of these special children and we succeeded to large extend in our endeavour today,” he added.
