Jammu and Kashmir Police spokesperson Sunday evening said that it arrested one person accused of molestation in South Kashmir.
“Today on 17th of April 2016, Police Station Mattan received a complaint from Farooq Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Nabi Wani resident of Brah stating that one of his relatives, a minor girl (name withheld) was molested by Jamal Telli son of Sadiq Telli resident of Brah inside his house, where she had gone for learning Quran,” J&K Police spokesperson said in a statement.
“A case FIR number 23/2016 under section 354 RPC was registered in Police Station Islamabad,” the spokesperson added, “Police acted swiftly and arrested the accused. The investigation is still going on.”
