Sopore police on Monday solved a burglary case by arresting the accused involved in the crime and recovered the stolen property.

The spokesman said that a person namely Nayeem Ahmad Shah, son of Mehraj-ud-din Shah, a resident of Dangiwacha approached Police Station Dangiwacha with a written complaint wherein he stated that during the intervening night of June 12-13, 2018 some unknown men entered into his shop and stole mobile phones and cash from the shop.

On receipt of the complaint, a case FIR number 70/2018 under section 457/380 RPC was registered in Police Station Dangiwacha and investigation was started.

During the course of the investigation, one suspected person namely Javaid Ahmad Ahanger, son of Ali Mohammad Ahanger, a resident of Jodinambal Braman Panzlla Rafiabad was called for questioning

On questioning, the suspect confessed that he has committed the crime and on his disclosure 41 mobile phones of different companies and cash of rupees 45,200 was recovered from his house in Jodinambal Braman Panzlla Rafiabad.

“Further investigation of the case is going on and more arrests and recoveries are expected,” the spokesman said.
