Islamabad Police on Thursday arrested a drug peddler and recovered 55 packets of dried poppy (fukki) from his possession in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district.

The spokesman said that acting on specific information a police party from police station Islamabad raided a residential complex in Prakashpora, Anchidoora area of district Islamabad and recovered 55 packets of dried poppy (fukki) from the residential complex, police said that the accused was also arrested from the spot. A police party was also accompanied by Naib Tehsildar Islamabad.

In this regard, police station Islamabad has registered a case FIR No 93/2018 and further investigations have been taken up, police said.
