KASHMIR: Police arrested four drug peddlers in separate operations in Baramulla and Budgam, recovering heroin and charas-like substances from their possession.
“In Baramulla, Kunzer police apprehended Habil Yaseen Dar, a resident of Habakadal Srinagar, at a checkpoint in Tarhama and seized 10 grams of heroin-like substance. At another checkpoint in Yadipora Crossing, Palhallan police arrested Rayees Ahmad Tantray and Danish Ahmad Dar after finding 2.9 kg of charas-like powder in their possession,’ a police spokesperson said in a statement.
Meanwhile, in Budgam, police arrested Tanveer Ahmad Bhat from Arigam at a checkpoint in Chamboora, recovering four sticks of charas-like substance.
Cases have been registered against the accused under relevant legal provisions, and investigations are underway.
