Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday arrested a Tantrik who allegedly raped a young girl belonging to Chowki Chowra, reports said.
According to a report the young girl along with her mother went to Tantrik Subhash Chander son of Mohan Lal resident of Nagara, Sunderbani for spiritual treatment. The Tantrik checked mother of the girl and told her that she and her daughter both are victims of some evil spirit and they need to get complete treatment at the earliest.
Having apprehension of the evils, they visited him two to three times. Tantrik finding a chance took the young girl to a separate room and after providing her some intoxicant, raped her.
The girl along with her mother went to the SSP Rajouri and related the whole episode and demanded justice. On the direction of SSP Rajouri, SHO Sunderbani Pardeep Gupta registered the case FIR 83/2017 under section 376 RPC and arrested the accused Subhash Chander for investigation.
