A Government teacher was arrested on the charges of molesting a class 9th girl student in Central Kashmir’s Khag tehsil of Budgam district.
The Station House Officer Khag Khursheed Rehman informed CNS that the accused teacher posted at Government Higher Secondary School Khag was arrested, after parents of the victim along with the village head lodged a complaint.
“According to the victim (name withheld), the teacher tried to molest her after the First term examination was over. Ironically, the head of the school didn’t inform the police and the matter is being investigated,” he said adding a formal case vide FIR number 66/2015 under section 376, 511 stands lodged at Police station Khag.
