Police in Srinagar arrested a cyber stalker who was harassing a girl by putting objectionable contents on the net.
Police received a complaint from a girl (name withheld) that she was being persecuted by some Cyber Stalker, who was disseminating obscene material and comments against her in cyberspace. The accused was running a fake facebook account under the name “[email protected]” on yahoo platform.
A case FIR no: 90/2012 under Section 66 Information Technology Act was registered in police station, Shaheed Gunj. The investigating team cracked the accounts and arrested the accused (named withheld).
