Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have solved theft case by arresting an accused.
A police spokesman in a statement said that Police Station Khanyar received a written complaint from one student Amir Majeed Mir son of Abdul Hameed resident of Kreeri Baramulla that while offering prayers at Dastageer Sahib Khanyar some unknown thief has stolen his Laptop.
“On the receipt of this information case FIR No 89/2018 u/s 454, 380 RPC was registered in p/s Khanyar and investigation set in motion,” the spokesman said.
“During investigation one accused namely Javid Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Hameed Dar a resident of Panzan Chadoora was arrested and stolen property i,e Laptop, and its accessories were recovered from his possession,” the spokesman said.
