Police on Thursday arrested a youth from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district allegedly of being involved in stone pelting.
Officials told GNS that Muzamil Sofi son of Mohammad Anwar of Chatpora Puwama has been arrested on Thursday by a police team from his home.
While confirming the report the officials said the youth was detained from his residence and lodged at Pulwama police station.
“The youth was involved in many stone pelting related incidents in the area. He used to pelt rock and stones on the forces. We were looking out for him from long time,” a police official wishing anonymity said.
