SRINAGAR: Police in Srinagar have attached the property of a drug peddler, consisting of movable assets in the form of a vehicle valued at approximately Rs 1.5 lakh.
A police spokesperson in a statement said, “The vehicle was acquired through the proceeds of illicit drug sales by Javid Ahmad Wani, son of Ali Mohammad, a resident of Gasoo Hazratbal. He is involved in case FIR No. 27/24 under Sections 8/20 and 21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Zakoora.”
“The property was seized under the provisions of Section 68F of the NDPS Act, with confirmation from the Administrator and the competent authority, SAFEMA (Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators – Forfeiture of Property Act), New Delhi,” it reads.
