SRINAGAR: Police in Bandipora have taken action against four individuals involved in continuous anti-national and anti-social activities. Following formal detention orders from the competent authority, the four accused persons have been booked under the PSA (Public Safety Act).
The identified individuals are as follows: Abdul Hameed Khan, son of Abdul Gani Khan, resident of Watrina Bandipora, who had previously engaged in stone pelting and is now involved in cheating and drug peddling related cases; Danish Ahmad Shah, also known as Harris, son of Sonaullah Shah, resident of Aloosa, Bandipora, an active associate of the proscribed militant outfit LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba); Assadullah Parray, son of Haji Ab Gani Parray, resident of Syed Mohalla Hajin, Bandipora, a member of APHC (All Parties Hurriyat Conference) and a militant associate with a significant criminal record involving 14 cases, posing a severe threat to public order and state security; and Hilal Ahmad Ganie, son of Late Mohammad Akram Ganaie, resident of Khan Mohalla Watrina, Bandipora, a repeated offender involved in numerous Cheque Bounce Cases and previously connected to two criminal cases.
The accused persons have been confined to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, as a measure to curb their continuous involvement in anti-national and anti-social activities.
