Officials said the searches were launched after credible information indicated that certain JeI operatives were allegedly involved in anti-national activities. Teams comprising police officers, lady personnel and local numberdars conducted the operations, which authorities said were executed strictly in accordance with legal procedure.

During the searches, police seized electronic devices and documents from the residences and institutes associated with JeI-linked individuals. Officials said all seized material will be examined to assess its relevance to the ongoing investigation.

Police said the action forms part of a wider, sustained effort to dismantle support structures and propaganda channels of the proscribed outfit, adding that such operations will continue to ensure peace and a militant-free environment in the district.
