While Joint Consultative Committee of State Employees has decided to go for the Secretariat Gheerow on Tuesday, police Monday launched a massive crackdown on employees leadership and raided various government and local offices to foil their Tuesday programme.

Chairman JCC Abdul Qayoom Wani told CNS that police raided various offices to detain employees leadership but they did not succeed to apprehend him.

“I am speaking to you from an unknown destination. We warn the government that confrontation with government employees would prove fatal for them. This government cannot muzzle our voice and snatch our rights,” he said.

Wani further said that hundreds of employees would assemble near Secretariat on Tuesday afternoon and would court arrests. “This government is following anti-people anti-employees policies and this would not prove beneficial for it,” he said.

Meanwhile, police raided the Agriculture Office Lal Mandi and arrested Fayaz Ahmed Shabnam.

A police official told CNS that employees march would be foiled at any cost and they will not be allowed to appear near Civil Secretariat.
