Lookout-notice-issued-for-2-militants-who-killed-cops

Jammu and Kashmir police Sunday issued a lookout notice for the two suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants they said killed two policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector, on Saturday.

A video shot by an “unknown bystander” on his cellphone went viral after the attack and helped the police “identify” the assailants.

The notice written in Urdu with grabs of the video “identified the duo as Junaid Ahmad Mattoo son of Manzoor Ahmad, resident of Khudwani, Kulgam, and Ali who is believed to be a non-Kashmiri”.

The police have issued three cellphone numbers for people to provide details about the militants who fled from the scene after shooting the two policemen at Khanabal-Pahalgam road on Saturday morning.

“People are requested to help police in arresting these militants before they commit another such activity to harm the respectable citizens,” the notice reads.
