SRINAGAR: Police in south Kashmir’s Shopian district have made the submission of Form C mandatory for all hotels, guest houses, homestays and other accommodation establishments hosting foreign nationals, directing operators to comply with the prescribed registration procedure immediately after guest check-in.
According to a public advisory issued on Saturday, all hotel owners and accommodation providers have been instructed to verify the passport and valid visa of every foreign guest at the time of check-in.
The advisory states that Form C must be submitted online through the FRRO Form C Portal immediately after the arrival of the foreign guest.
Police have also directed all accommodation providers to maintain proper records of foreign nationals for inspection and extend full cooperation to the police and other competent authorities whenever required.
Warning of strict action, Shopian Police said failure to submit Form C or furnishing incorrect information may invite legal proceedings under the applicable provisions of law.
The advisory said timely submission of Form C is essential for strengthening national security while ensuring safe and secure hospitality for foreign visitors.
The directions have been issued in the public interest, with all stakeholders asked to ensure strict compliance with the prescribed procedures.
