The body of a missing person was fished out by Srinagar police from river Jehlum on Sunday.

According to police spokesman, Sunday morning Police Station Parimpora fished out the body of Farooq Azam Khan son of Abdul Qayoom resident of Patlipora, Chattabal from river Jehlum near Shalteng, Srinagar, in the jurisdiction of police station Parimpora.

He was missing since August 22, 2013 from Regal Chowk, Srinagar, where he was working as a salesman in a computer shop. A missing report was lodged by his brother in police station Kothibagh on August 23, 2013.

Further the police spokesman said that the post mortem of the body was conducted in the hospital. There was no visible mark of torture or violence found on the body. The body was later handed over to his legal hair for last rites.

  1. No marks on his body? You got to be kidding me.There were clear marks of torture.I suspect false as police is lying clearly.Not to mention he was only 18 years old.
