Bandipora Police recovered a kidnapped girl within six hours after her parents approached the police.
The spokesman said police Station Hajin received a complaint from parents of a girl wherein it was stated that their daughter was kidnapped while she went to attend the natures call on Saturday morning. They also revealed names of few suspects.
“On reception of the complaint, a case FIR No 08 of 2018 under section 366 RPC was registered and investigation to trace the kidnapped girl was started,” he said.
During the investigation, with the information received from the suspects and by tracing phone calls, the police team traced the girl near Lower Munda in Qazigund. The kidnapper was arrested and the girl was later handed over to her parents.
