SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police in South Kashmir’s Anantnag rescued 25 passenger vehicles stranded at Sinthan Top following fresh snowfall.
An official said that the vehicles were left stranded due to the weather conditions. A distress call was made by one of the passengers, which was promptly responded to by Police Station Larnoo.
A police team led by the SHO Larnoo reached the location and facilitated the rescue. All passengers were safely evacuated.
Anantnag Police has advised commuters to exercise caution and remain updated on weather conditions when travelling through snow-affected high-altitude routes.
The safety of the public remains a priority, the official said. (JKNS)
