Police Solve ‘Blind Murder Case’ within an Hour in Leh

A blind murder case was solved in Leh by arresting the accused within an hour after the crime, police said Wednesday evening.

“Police Post Housing Colony Leh received information from SNM Hospital Leh that a person with stab wound near heart was admitted in the hospital.

On receipt of this information, police party from PP Housing Colony Leh rushed to the SNM Hospital where it found that the injured persons succumbed to his injuries, who was identified as Dorjey Gyalson son of Sonam Tsering resident of Salapi Zanskar presently at Ibex Colony, Leh a driver by profession. The body of deceased was taken into police custody and later handed over to medical authorities for post mortem,” the statement said.

Police swung into action and constituted a team under the supervision of T Gyalpo, Addl. SP Leh and the case was handed over to SI Mehraj Geri assisted by SI Rigzin Gurmet and HC Ahmad Feroz who visited the scene of crime and collected the vital evidences available on spot.

“Investigating team based on evidence arrested a friend cum relative of the deceased Lobzang Thardot under section 54 CrPC. After interrogation, he confessed of committing the murder of his friend,” the statement added.

Police have registered a case FIR number 125/2015 under section 302 RPC against the accused and further investigation is on.
