Police have sponsored two cyclists from Budgam district in central Kashmir for National Cycling Competition to be held at Jammu.
“In this connection, SSP Budgam Fayaz Ahmad Lone under Civic Action Programme (CAP) Tuesday distributed two cheques worth Rs 10,000/- each among Mushtaq Ahmad and Mohammad Aamir residents of Check-e-Kawoosa, Magam,” JKP spokesperson said this evening. “The duo has participated in many State level cycle competitions and intends to participate in a National Cycling Competition to be held at Jammu from 10th of February 2016.”
“To develop the culture of sports among the youth and to encourage the two cyclists SSP Budgam decided to sponsor them for the competition,” the spokesperson added.
