A police party on Tuesday came to the residence of Hurriyat Conference (g) leader Syed Ali Geelani with a warrant issued by a court in Bhaderwah town, reports said.
Quoting sources, they said that a police party, which came to the uptown Hyderpora residence of octogenarian leader Geelani with the warrant, said the warrant pertained to under trial with the Bhaderwah court since 1989.
The police party was informed that the Hurriyat patriarch is under house arrest and has no objection to being arrested by them.
The police party left saying they would seek instructions from their seniors regarding the future course of action in the matter, they said.geelani
