In its endeavor to further strengthen police public relations, district Police Bandipora organized a Mehfil-e-Mushaira at District Police Lines Bandipora.
According to police spokesman, around 25 famous poets of Urdu, Kashmiri and Gojri participated and presented their verses to an audience.
The prominent among the poets included Prof Ismail Ashna, Prof Shafi Mir, Prof Rashid Nazki, Munawar Parwana, Mubashir Nazki, Gul Tanvir, Abdul Ahad Talib and Shahbaz Hakbhari.
The spokesman adds that audience were mesmermised and enjoyed the the poetic verses.
Among the participants, cash rewards and certificates were presented by SSP Bandipora Mohammad Shabir Chowdary.
Speaking on the occasion Chowdary said that police will continue to provide all possible assistance to literally and other such programmes where the talent of the people of the area can be showcased.
