SRINAGAR: In a shocking incident of its kind, a cop murdered his wife while she was pregnant and barely a month away from becoming a mother. Police have launched a manhunt to arrest the killer, who is still at large.
Police sources in Jammu said that Dharalta village in the Billawar area. The slain lady was identified as Asha Devi, who was the mother of two daughters.
Mohan Lal, police said, was an SPO and posted at DPL Kathua. The incident took place during his 3-day leave which he reportedly spent at home.
A case has been registered and a manhunt launched to arrest him. Ashra was barely a month away from being a mother again. However, the baby died in the scuffle along with the mother.
