Poly-technique students of Kashmir have expressed resentment with the Technical board for holding examinations on turbulent days when Kashmir there is no facility to reach exam centres.

Students alleged that board put their life at risk by holding examination today when Kashmir observed shutdown.

“When University and other examinations were postponed why not our examination? The higher officials are sitting in Jammu and don’t care what happens to us,” alleged a 5th semester student of Poly-technique college Larkipora Islamabad.

“It is not only the days when there is strike but,” students said, “on the days of bad weather exams are conducted without any change in schedules.”

However, controller examination of State Board of Technical Education, Mahmood Ahmad said, “we have directed that those students who cannot attend their examination do not need to panic as their exams will be conducted on rescheduled dates.”

“We are fully aware of the situation and there will be no compromise with students career,” he added.
