SRINAGAR: Three soldiers were killed and as many were injured after militants ambushed two Army vehicles in the Thanmandi area of Rajouri district on Thursday, officials said.
Quoting an official, KNO reported that an anti-militant operation was being conducted in the Dera Ki Gali area of Thanamandi since Wednesday night. “At around 3:45 pm today, two army vehicle carrying troops to the operation site was ambushed by terrorists in Dera ki Gali, also known as DKG.”
“The fire was retaliated to, however, in the exchange of fire three soldiers got killed, while three were injured. Operation is in progress and further details are being ascertained,” the official said—(KNO)
