Protests, clashes between forces and civilian protesters have erupted in southern district of the Kashmir valley, Islamabad.
Reports said that people took to streets after a militant was killed in a shootout with forces.
Witnesses said clashes erupted in Bijbehara, Kanelwan, Bewoora and Srigufwara areas of the district after the news of death of Basit Rasool spread in the area.
Basit Rasool, a resident of Marhama village of Islamabad district was pursuing B Tech from Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) before joining militant ranks four months ago.
