SRINAGAR: Power supply will remain disrupted in several areas of Srinagar and Jammu divisions on Tuesday as the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) have scheduled maintenance works on their distribution network.
According to KPDCL, a shutdown of the 33 KV Alusteng–Zakura line will be carried out on July 28, resulting in a power outage from 8 am to 2 pm in Pandach, Khalmullah, Umerheir, Panchayat, Ahmadnagar, Pathan Colony, Gulabagh and adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, JPDCL said electricity supply will remain affected from 5:30 am to 10:30 am in Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, parts of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Bathindi, Sunjwan, Boria and nearby localities in Jammu.
In addition, Bathindi, Sunjwan and adjoining areas will witness brief interruptions from 5:30 am to 6 am and again from 10 am to 10:30 am on the same day.
In Kathua district, power supply to Old Agriculture Sunjwan, Koulpur and adjoining areas will remain affected on July 28 and July 30 from 6 am to 11 am, while Bandral and nearby areas will face outages on July 29 and July 31 during the same hours.
Electricity supply to Balote Navodaya and adjoining areas will also remain suspended on July 28 from 6 am to 11 am.
Besides, power supply to Chainpura, Moni, Mandir, Ujh Barrage, Dhanni, Jakhole, Gurah Panditan, Baira Malaman and adjoining areas will remain affected on July 28 from 7 am to 9 am due to scheduled maintenance works.
