Power Supply Disruptions Scheduled Across Multiple Areas in Jammu Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced planned power shutdowns affecting several areas in and around Badampora and adjoining regions on December 6, 9, 14 and 15, 2025, due to maintenance work on 33 KV and 132/33 KV lines.

The Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, said that a shutdown of the 33 KV switchyard of the 132/33 KV, 100 MVA GSS Badampora will be observed on December 6, from 09.00 AM to 03.30 PM. This will disrupt power supply to Kurhama, Yangpora, Baroosa, Old Dab, Checki Baba Salun, Sainik School, Rabitar, Kondbal, GCET Safapora, Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Theeru, Larsun, Safapora Central University, Gratbal, Jarakobagh, Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyari, Hakbara, Army Camp, Chandgeer, and surrounding areas.

Similarly, the 33 KV Rangreth and Airforce lines will be shut down on December 6, from 12.00 Noon to 03.00 PM, affecting Humhama, Peerbagh, Wanbal, Hyderpora, Bank Colony, and adjoining areas. The 33 KV Bakshipora Tapline will also be offline on December 6, from 10.30 AM to 03.30 PM, impacting Kreshbal, Palpora, Chochefakir, Bakshipora, and nearby localities.

Further shutdowns of the 33 KV Badampora Wangipora Tapline and 33 KV Badampora Army Hakbara line are scheduled from 09.30 AM to 03.30 PM on December 6 and 14, affecting Batwina, Nowgam, Wangipora, Zazna, Ahan, Waskura, Kharbagh, Sumbal, Nesbal, Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyari, Hakbara, Chandergeer, and surrounding areas.

Additionally, power supply on the 33 KV Badampora Kurhama Dab line and 33 KV Lar Tulmulla line will be suspended from 09.30 AM to 03.30 PM on December 9 and 15, affecting Kurhama, Youngoora, Barsoo, Old Dab, Check Baba Salun, Sainik School, Rabitar, Kondbal, GCET Safapora, Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Theeru, Larsun, and adjacent areas.

Authorities have advised residents to make alternative arrangements and exercise caution during the scheduled outages.
