SRINAGAR: The NIA Court in Pulwama, designated under the NIA Act, issued proclamation orders on Monday under Section 82 of the CrPC against four active militants involved in multiple cases. These cases include FIR No 42/2018 under sections 18, 20, and 38 of the UA(P) Act at Police Station Pampore, FIR No 119/2022 under Section 38 of the UA(P) Act at Police Station Tral, FIR No 04/2018 under sections 18, 20, and 38 of the UA(P) Act at Police Station Tral, and FIR No 36/2023 under sections 7/25 I.A Act, 18, 20, 23, 25, 38, and 39 of the UA(P) Act at Police Station Tral.

According to a statement, the police identified the involved militants as Owais Feroz Mir, son of Feroz Ahmad Mir, a resident of Frestibal Pampore; Gowhar Manzoor Wani, son of Manzoor Ahmad Wani, a resident of Hurdumir Tral; Mubashir Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Nabi Dar, a resident of Syedabad Tral; and Feroz Ahmad Ganie, son of Gh Nabi Ganie, also known as Nabir Ganie, a resident of Noorpora Awantipora.

The spokesman further stated that before issuing the proclamation orders, the Court had already issued open-ended Non-Bailable Warrants (NBW) against these militants. On Monday, the proclamation orders were publicly posted in conspicuous places in their native villages, as well as on the residential houses and in conspicuous places within their villages.

Before initiating further legal proceedings against militants Owais Feroz Mir, Gowhar Manzoor Wani, and Mubashir Ahmad Dar, the Court has given them until or before October 10, 2023, to surrender before the competent authority. The NIA Court has also granted terrorist Feroz Ahmad Ganie the opportunity to surrender before the competent authority, as per the statement. (GNS)
